Processor Installation or Replacement Service

Our Processor Installation or Replacement Service is designed for customers who need to replace an existing CPU or upgrade their desktop PC with a new compatible processor. The processor is one of the most important components in a computer and is responsible for handling calculations, applications, games and overall system tasks. Upgrading to a more powerful CPU can improve performance in demanding workloads, multitasking, gaming and professional software, depending on the rest of the system. Our service includes the careful removal of the existing processor where required, installation of the new compatible CPU, application of thermal paste and installation of the compatible CPU cooling system, followed by a basic system startup and functionality check.

When Do You Need to Replace or Install a New Processor?

You may need to replace your processor if the existing CPU is faulty, damaged or no longer provides the performance required for your current applications and workloads. A processor upgrade can also be useful when upgrading an older PC to improve performance in games, productivity software, content creation or other demanding tasks. Before installing a new CPU, it is important to ensure that it is compatible with the motherboard and supported by its CPU socket and chipset. In some cases, a motherboard BIOS update may also be required for support. The selected cooling system must also be suitable for the processor and compatible with the motherboard socket.

What Is Included in the Processor Installation Service?

The Processor Installation or Replacement Service includes the physical installation of one compatible processor into your desktop PC. If an existing CPU is being replaced, it is carefully removed as part of the service. The processor socket area is prepared and cleaned where appropriate before the new CPU is installed. New thermal paste is applied between the processor and the cooling system to ensure proper thermal contact. The compatible CPU cooler is then installed or reinstalled, and the required cooling connections are connected to the system. Once the installation has been completed, we perform a basic startup and functionality check to confirm that the computer powers on correctly.

Processor and Motherboard Compatibility

Before a new processor can be installed, it must be compatible with the existing motherboard. The CPU must use the correct socket and be supported by the motherboard chipset and BIOS version. Even processors that physically fit the same socket may require a BIOS update before they can operate correctly. The motherboard must also be capable of supporting the processor according to the manufacturer's specifications. If the new CPU is not compatible with the existing motherboard, a motherboard upgrade or BIOS update may be required. Compatibility should always be confirmed before the installation service is performed.

Thermal Paste and CPU Cooling

Correct thermal paste application and CPU cooler installation are important parts of installing a processor. Thermal paste helps improve heat transfer between the CPU and the cooling system, while the cooler removes heat generated during operation. As part of the standard processor installation, thermal paste is applied and the compatible cooling system is installed or reinstalled. The cooling system must be compatible with the processor socket and provide sufficient cooling capacity for the selected CPU. If the existing cooler is not compatible or is unsuitable for the new processor, a different cooling solution may be required and purchased separately.

What Is Not Included?

The Processor Installation or Replacement Service does not include the cost of the processor, motherboard, CPU cooler or other replacement components unless they are purchased separately. BIOS updates, motherboard replacement, operating system installation, Windows activation and advanced performance optimisation are also not automatically included unless separately arranged. If the existing motherboard does not support the new processor, additional hardware or configuration work may be required. The service also does not include repairs to damaged CPU sockets, motherboards or other components that may be discovered during the installation process.

System Check After Installation

Once the processor and compatible cooling system have been installed, we perform a basic functionality check to confirm that the computer powers on correctly. This check helps identify obvious startup or installation issues following the CPU replacement. If the system does not start correctly because of a motherboard compatibility issue, outdated BIOS or another faulty component, additional diagnostics or repair work may be required. The standard installation service includes a basic startup and functionality check and does not automatically include extended stress testing, advanced BIOS optimisation or comprehensive hardware diagnostics unless these services are separately added.
