Returns & Refunds

At CompHub, we want every customer to receive their PC, computer component, monitor or peripheral in the expected condition and working as intended. If there is a problem with a product purchased from us, please contact CompHub before sending anything back. Our team will review the issue, provide the appropriate return instructions and explain the next steps. Returns are handled according to the circumstances of each case, our Terms & Conditions and applicable Irish consumer law. This page explains our practical return and refund process, while our Terms & Conditions contain the full legal terms relating to cancellations, returns, refunds and consumer rights. If you are unsure whether your issue qualifies for a return or what information you should provide, contact us first and we will help determine the appropriate next step.

When Can I Return a Product?

CompHub currently handles returns primarily where there is an issue with the product or order. This may include a product that is faulty, damaged during delivery, incorrectly supplied or otherwise affected by a problem that requires our assistance. If you experience an issue with a gaming PC, custom-built PC, computer component, monitor or peripheral, please contact us before arranging a return. We will assess the circumstances and explain the available options. Depending on the situation and your applicable consumer rights, the appropriate resolution may include repair, replacement, refund or another available remedy. Any statutory rights that apply to your purchase remain unaffected. For full information regarding cancellation rights and other legal remedies, please refer to the CompHub Terms & Conditions.

Contact CompHub Before Returning Your Product

Before sending or bringing a product back to us, please contact CompHub and provide your order number or proof of purchase, together with a clear description of the issue. Depending on the problem, we may ask for photographs, videos, error messages or other information to help us understand what has happened. We will then review the reported issue and provide the appropriate return instructions where a return is required. Customers should not send products to an address without first contacting CompHub, as we may need to provide specific instructions or arrange the most suitable method of return. Once your return has been agreed, we will provide the relevant return address or collection arrangements and explain any applicable requirements before the product is returned.

Initial Troubleshooting

For some reported problems, CompHub may ask the customer to carry out a small amount of basic troubleshooting or diagnostics at home before a product is returned. This can help us identify straightforward issues and determine whether the product needs to come back to us for further inspection. Any requested troubleshooting will be limited to reasonable checks that can be safely carried out by the customer. We will not expect customers to carry out repairs or complex hardware work themselves. Depending on the issue, we may request information such as error messages, photographs, videos or the results of a simple diagnostic check. If the issue cannot be resolved remotely, we will provide the appropriate return or collection instructions so that CompHub can inspect the product and determine the next step.

Returning a Product to CompHub

Once CompHub has confirmed that a product needs to be returned, we will provide the customer with the appropriate return instructions. Depending on the product and circumstances, the customer may be able to return it directly to our Dublin office or arrange delivery back to us. For larger products such as custom-built PCs, collection may also be possible depending on the circumstances and location. Customers should package returned products appropriately and include the relevant order information so that we can identify the return when it arrives. If return shipping is required, the responsibility for the cost will depend on the reason for the return and the circumstances of the issue. Where the issue is attributable to CompHub, we will cover applicable return costs. Other situations may be handled differently.

Product Inspection & Diagnosis

After a returned product reaches CompHub, our team will inspect and, where appropriate, test the product to determine the reported issue and the appropriate resolution. We aim to complete this assessment within a reasonable timeframe, although the time required can vary depending on the product, the reported fault, testing requirements and the circumstances of the return. For computer hardware and PCs, additional diagnostics may be required to reproduce or identify the reported problem. We may use appropriate diagnostic tools and testing procedures depending on the hardware involved. If the reported issue is confirmed, we will determine the appropriate next step in accordance with the circumstances, applicable CompHub warranty coverage and Irish consumer law. We will communicate with the customer where further information or action is required.

Faulty Products

If a PC, component, monitor or peripheral purchased from CompHub develops a fault, please contact us before returning the product. We may initially request photographs, videos or basic troubleshooting information to help identify the issue. If the product needs to be returned, we will provide the appropriate instructions and inspect the item once received. Depending on the circumstances, the product may be repaired, replaced or refunded, or another appropriate remedy may apply under the relevant warranty and consumer rights. Where a fault is attributable to CompHub or is otherwise covered by the applicable warranty or legal protection, CompHub will handle the relevant return arrangements in accordance with the circumstances. Return costs in other situations may be handled differently.

Incorrect Products or Orders

If you receive an incorrect product, component or order from CompHub, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and details of what you received. Where necessary, we may request photographs of the product, packaging or labels to help us confirm the issue. If CompHub supplied the wrong product, we will arrange the appropriate solution and cover the applicable return shipping cost. Once the incorrect item has been returned or the situation has otherwise been resolved, we will arrange the appropriate replacement or other remedy. Please do not use or install an incorrect component if you believe it was supplied in error, as this may make it more difficult to assess the condition of the product. Contacting us before returning the item allows us to provide the correct instructions.

Products Damaged During Delivery

If your order appears to have been damaged during delivery, please contact CompHub as soon as possible and preferably within 24 hours of delivery. We strongly recommend recording a continuous video while opening your package, including the condition of the outer packaging and the product inside. This evidence can be important when determining whether damage occurred during transportation and may affect the final decision regarding the claim. Please keep all original packaging, labels and protective materials until the matter has been resolved. CompHub will review the information provided and, where appropriate, work with the delivery provider to investigate the issue. The time required to resolve a delivery damage claim may vary depending on the circumstances and the information required from the delivery provider.

Custom-Built PCs

Custom-built PCs require additional consideration because each system is assembled specifically according to the customer's requested configuration. If you experience a problem with a custom PC, please contact CompHub before attempting to return or transport the system. We may first ask you to carry out a small amount of basic troubleshooting at home to help identify the issue. If the PC needs further inspection, it can be brought to our Dublin office or, depending on the circumstances, we may be able to arrange collection. Any applicable collection or delivery charge will depend on the circumstances and will be explained before transport is arranged. The cancellation and return rights applicable to custom or personalised products are explained in our Terms & Conditions.

Custom PC Inspection & Support

When a custom-built PC is returned to CompHub because of a reported fault, our team will inspect and test the system to identify the cause of the problem. Depending on the reported issue, this may include hardware diagnostics, component testing and other appropriate checks. Our aim is to identify whether the issue is related to a covered hardware fault, configuration, software or another circumstance. Where appropriate, we may use diagnostic tools such as OCCT and FurMark as part of our testing process. Once the issue has been identified, we will discuss the appropriate next step with the customer. This may include repair, replacement, refund or another available remedy depending on the circumstances, applicable warranty coverage and Irish consumer law.

Return & Delivery Costs

The cost of returning a product depends on why the product is being returned and the circumstances of the case. Where a problem is attributable to CompHub, such as an incorrect item supplied by us, we will cover the applicable return costs. Where the issue results from another circumstance, responsibility for return or delivery costs may be different and will be explained to the customer. For custom-built PCs, collection or delivery may be available depending on the customer's location and circumstances. If transport is required, any applicable charge will be communicated before it is arranged. This approach allows us to consider each situation individually while ensuring that applicable consumer rights and warranty obligations are respected.

Refunds

Where a refund is determined to be the appropriate resolution, CompHub will normally process the refund using the original payment method. For purchases originally paid in cash, the refund will normally be provided in cash. The timing of a refund may depend on the circumstances of the return, the inspection process and the applicable legal requirements. We do not provide a fixed internal processing timeframe because different returns can require different levels of inspection and investigation. Where a product has already been successfully delivered, the original delivery charge is not refundable in accordance with our applicable delivery terms. Any refund will be handled in accordance with the circumstances of the return, our Terms & Conditions and applicable Irish consumer law.

Collection of Returned Products

Where appropriate, customers may be able to return a product directly to the CompHub Dublin office. This can be particularly useful for larger items such as custom-built PCs that may be difficult to ship safely. If a customer is unable to bring a PC to us, collection may be available depending on the circumstances and location. Any applicable collection charge will be explained before the collection is arranged. When returning a product in person, customers should bring their order number and valid identification where required so that we can confirm the relevant order. Once received, the product will be inspected and tested as appropriate before the next step is determined.

Consumer Rights & Terms & Conditions

Nothing on this Returns & Refunds page is intended to remove, restrict or limit any statutory consumer rights that apply to purchases from CompHub. Your legal rights as a consumer remain separate from and in addition to any applicable CompHub warranty or manufacturer's warranty. The practical information on this page is intended to explain how to contact us and how we normally handle product issues, while the full legal terms relating to orders, cancellations, returns, refunds, custom-built products and consumer rights are contained in our Terms & Conditions. For the complete legal position applicable to your purchase, please review the Terms & Conditions before placing an order.
